Reviews of "Hop on Board"
"Coming February 15 (and currently on Preorder) is Nicholas A. Price's children's book Hop On Board. Written for children 5 to 9, this story carries the tagline "We are the Germ family and you love to carry us around everywhere!"
Colorfully illustrated by Gigi Art, Price's story centers on the tough life germs lead, especially when silly children use soap, which particularly irritates germs.
"Children will enjoy the many pictures, especially the ones of rogue germs who try to hide out in places too small for the human eye to see.
If the story and pictures don't convince your children to wash up before meals, then the Ghastly Facts presented near the end surely will.
They include such scary things as "Fifty thousand of the largest virus germs could fit on a pinhead!Ten thousand could fit on a grain of salt," and "Viruses can only survive inside a living plant, person or animal, yet they can still live on a dirty surface for a while and wait!"
This is a fun and entertaining book for young children. The illustrations help make the point that germs are sneaky and small, but a simple hand-washing can protect us all!" - Kindle Book Review Spot

"
An original, fun and informative book for children (and adults) of all ages to learn - and relearn -about Germs and how they are everywhere in our every day lives. The illustrations completely capture the author's message in an endearing manner. Definately on our recommended reading list!" - The Children's Book Club, Florida

"The Tapeworm from A Series of Ghastly Things by Nicholas A. price is so cringe worthy and hideous, it's a SUPERB book for all children that revel in this type of story telling. If your children enjoy macabre but humorous books like The Twits or The Witches both by Roald Dahl, they will LOVE this book!
The Tapeworm itself is hilarious, demanding and food obsessed. His/her host (Ghastly Fact: did you know that Tapeworms are not male or female?) has to put up with it's ghastly behavior as it lurks around waiting for it's daily meals and treats. It appears to have a list of favorite dishes and has no qualms consuming anything and everything!
The children's faces and sniggers were worth the purchase and my Q&A afterwards was really lively and educational to see what parts of the book the children loved. Some children even looked up other interesting facts in addition to the one's Mr. Price provides at the end of the story. We read the book as group twice and no doubt it will be continue to have regular revisits in the future. A really great book!" - Gabby TheBookworm. Book Blogger
One of the most valuable appliances in the Brown family is their egg timer. All members of the family use it each day for different things. This little gadget allows them to have perfect eggs, clean teeth, and the perfect exercise timed program.

Unfortunately, The Sand Tribe is in an uproar! They are rebelling against being interrupted from their peaceful sleep just to allow someone to have a perfect breakfast. They decide to retaliate by offering false time to their owners.

Will The Sand Tribe be successful in their plot to defeat the Brown family from interrupting their life? Or will they be forced to endure more of the family’s unannounced timing requests?

TIMED TO PERFECTION is one delightful book! I was so impressed by the beautifully illustrated characters that helped the story flow smoothly. The story is one that will appeal to both the adult and a child. I can easily see this being read as a bedtime story.

Nicholas A. Price is a very talented author. I fell in love with his writing style and how he was able to create a story that appealed to my inner child. His words really stuck with me for after I finished the book I looked at my own egg timer and fondly remembered his beloved book. I highly recommend this book as one that is everyone that takes the time to read. - Suzie Amazon.com Customer and Verified Purchase

"Children’s author Nicholas A. Price has a new story coming to Kindle: Timed to Perfection (The Time Series Book 1).
Colorfully illustrated throughout by Gigi Art, the book is certain to appeal to children in the five to ten age range. Especially with the imaginative story about Mr. Brown’s family and their magical egg timer.
Published by Demy Books, this book will be released on February 15, 2017, and is available for preorder.
Children will learn about time and have their imaginations stimulated by what’s going on inside Mr. Brown’s egg timer. It’s not just for cooking perfect eggs, why there’s a whole world inside the glass domes. And, the Sand Tribe Union is revolting against their current situation where the humans control their every minute, or every three minutes!
This battle of wills has a surprising end result that benefits everyone"- Good Kindle Review

"In this fabulous story, there's a magical egg timer, a time-obsessed family and a union-style revolt by the Sand Tribe (who live in the magical egg timer).
My reading circle LOVED this one. It's funny, beautifully illustrated and was a hit with the two age groups I read to - 2-5 and 7-10 year olds. I sent the parents a link to so they can download it from Kindle for bedtime reading.
I highly recommend this one for parents and teachers as well as self-readers" - Gabby TheBookworm. Book Blogger

Buy The Lazy Hour
"Every day is filled with twenty-four hours. These hours are measured by seconds, minutes, and hours. Mr. Hour feels that his part of the day is one of the slowest to ever come around. He spends his life watching the Silly Second Quad and Hasty Minute Crowd always seeming to take center stage.

Each one plays an important role to keep the years moving forward. For if they were to possibly slack off on their duties time would stop. Teamwork is essential to keep the time marching along.

THE LAZY HOUR is a wonderfully illustrated book. I loved the uniqueness each character brought to the overall story. Children are sure to be delighted in this wonderful tale that will help explain the importance of time.

Nicholas A. Price writes superb content that is highly beneficial to a child’s learning experience. This is the second in this highly entertaining series that I have had the privilege of reading. I feel this author’s writing is so crucial to the young minds of America. I highly recommend his writing and would love to be able to see it included in the curriculum for the specified age group".- Suzie Amazon.com Customer and Verified Purchase

"The Lazy Hour by Nicholas Price was released recently on Amazon.com's Kindle. I was able to get this one in time for my reading circle events today.
Yes, I am a huge fan of Mr. Price's work - he's able to capture the real imagination of a child's curiosity and perspective that we seem to lose as we get older.
The Lazy Hour is just pure genius! How else can you explain the measurement of time in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years to a child in such a fun and intriguing manner?
These books are educational and so much fun. The characters come to life in ways I would never have imagined and that's what I like about this author's work. The books are VERY different, Very Unique and put a lot of information, fact and details in to a short number of pages that is clear, concise and not at all overwhelming to either the reader or the listener.
The Lazy Hour is a simple but amusing tale and tells the story of Mister Hour who is the laziest person ever!
He spends his life watching the Silly Second Squad and the Hasty Minute Crowd as they rush around like there is simply not enough time in the day, the month or the year.
The lazy Hour is part of the Time Series of titles and assume there is more coming in the near future. If you like this author's work, I suggest you sign up for updates on his website to keep up to date or follow his author page on Amazon.com." - Gabby TheBookworm. Book Blogger

"Oh My - Mister Second is so naughty! In this lovely book released yesterday on Amazon.com's Kindle by Nicholas A. Price, "Mister Second Runs Out of Time", I'd say he also runs out of luck!
Grandfather clock is not putting up with his need to stop time so Mister Second can get more done in a busy day (sound familiar parents?) well, despite his bullying, Old Julie Clock gets her revenge (which is hilariously depicted in the gorgeous illustrations) and Mister Second must learn that there are just somethings that can't be changed. A perfect story for bedtime or when you are just so busy, that a short story like this works perfectly to read together with or to your children." - Gabby TheBookworm. Book Blogger

"From the macabre humor genre comes Nicholas A. Price’s latest work, The Tapeworm. This book is geared for children 5 to 12 and is part of his ‘A Series of Ghastly Things’ books being released February 15, 2017.
Children will no doubt be intrigued by the strange and scary full-color illustrations by Gigi Art in this book issued by Demy Publishing. The story that goes with the pictures is equally scary, or at least the tapeworm is!
This is a story about Miss Watkins, a nice young woman who enjoys her roast beef cooked rare, but what if the chef undercooked the poor woman’s meal? Something sinister could invade her body, and it does. Now, what will happen?
Author Price takes the reader on a horror-filled but humorous tale of the life of a tapeworm, one inside the body of a person who loved to eat. Yikes! It’s just the kind of thing so many children love to read!
This new book is just $2.99" - Roland Kling, Good Kindle Reviews

"From A Series of Ghastly Things comes the latest book by Nicholas A. Price, The Hideous Child. This is book 3, in Kindle Edition, and is aimed at children ages 3 to 9.
The author has been hard at work with a full group of children's books coming out. Illustrated by Demi Art, children will love the pictures that accompany the story.
In The Hideous Child, a mother sits quietly and watches her daughter prepare her own meal. What a wonderful and quaint little child.
It's good to see her taking care of herself, but whatever is she making? Why a plate of beetle larvae and butterfly guts. Is this an everyday occurrence or has mother's little one gone stark raving mad?
Did you know that beetles and grasshoppers are a mainstay of villages in Africa and South America? They do provide much-needed nourishment. A few of these facts about what people in different countries regularly eat follows the story.9" - AI W Moe, Kindle Reviews Hotspot

"The Hideous Child is a shorter story from the "Series of Ghastly  Things"titles by Nicholas Price.
Kids LOVE gory, ghastly, yucky subjects. This is no exception!
The children raved about this one and poured over the illustrations of the Hideous Child's menu.
I won't go into too much information but I was surprised to learn from the "Ghastly Facts" located at the end of the story that the items the Hideous Child prepares, (and consumes), is a mainstay diet for several cultures around the world.
This book is educational, informative, original in concept and beautifully illustrated.
I highly recommend this one and you should order your copy from Amazon Kindle " - Gabby TheBookworm. Book Blogger
"Author Nicholas A. Price stimulates the magination of children through his stories.
In The Moon Has A Big Head, children learn what happens when anyone, even a stellar superstar like the moon, takes themselves too seriously. There's always someone bigger, faster, and stronger, but that doesn't mean we can't all be friends and still reach for the stars.
This story is published by Demy Books and slated to be available on Kindle February 15, 2017. Delightfully illustrated by Gigi Art, children will love the story and the pictures. At the end of the book, Price offers many interesting facts about the moon, such as the moon's distance from the earth, information about gravity, the earth's tides, and temperatures on the surface of the moon." - AI W Moe, Kindle Reviews Hotspot

"This book is perfect for young readers (18 months to 5 years). The Moon Has A Big Head by Nicholas A. Price is an engaging short story book where children learn what happens when The Moon, takes on The Sun. It's a clever way of describing what an eclipse of the sun is and the author's unique reason for why it occurs is really amusing. You also get that and a host of other facts, but you will totally ADORE the way the story is told and the illustrations of the battle between The Moon and The Sun are just fantastic!
I strongly recommend this as a book for bedtime, or in my case I read this to my (slightly older) reader group outside under the stars at camp last night. It was so fitting an experience and I can't wait to read this to my other groups. A few parents that were present came over and asked about the book too so this is great when I can get parents to engage with their children through reading. A perfect short story book and despite the number of books that seem to be free all over the internet (and I'm not knocking that at all - books in all it's forms and availability are priceless) , this one is worth the $2.99 price tag on Amazon.com's Kindle.

"Being a parent is an exhilarating experience, regardless of how much work and worry is involved. In the new children’s book Lily’s Curl, the young girl’s parents think her beautiful curl of hair is so cute. And that’s the reaction most parents would have, even if that one curl grew out of control.
Lily’s Curl is published by Demy Books and illustrated by Gigi Art. Launch date is February 15, and preorder is available for Kindle. The standard price is $2.99 but those of you with Kindle Unlimited can get a copy for your little ones for Free!
Inside the book, children will find page after page of colorful drawings depicting little Lily’s arrival, her beautiful face, and the tiny curl of hair that grows on the top of her head.
Eventually, that tiny curl takes on a life of its own, growing at an alarming rate, garnering stares, and causing widespread panic through stories in the local tabloids. Did you know that human hair grows 6 inches per year? That tidbit and many others follow this charming story, but of course, Lily’s hair grows much faster and something must be done!." - AI W Moe, Kindle Reviews Hotspot
